JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Violent clashes broke out on Tuesday evening in Jerusalem after dozens of extremist protesters demonstrated against the Karlin-Stolin Rebbe as he arrived at his synagogue to participate in a Sheva Brachot celebration for his grandson.

According to reports, the demonstration took place on Avinoam Yellin Street, where dozens of zealot protesters gathered outside the synagogue and shouted insults at the Rebbe, including chants of “Shohat (the Rebbe’s surname), get out, impure one.”
The protest later escalated as demonstrators reportedly attempted to prevent the Rebbe from leaving the premises.

The incident quickly descended into violent confrontations between Karlin-Stolin Hasidim and the protesters, resulting in a large-scale disturbance.
Several people were injured during the clashes, with at least one victim evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment.
According to the reports, the protest was sparked by opposition to the Rebbe’s reported support for Israel’s proposed military draft legislation and, more broadly, his positions on the enlistment of members of the charedi community.
Police did not immediately release additional details regarding arrests or the extent of the injuries sustained during the violence.
If only there was some avenue or outlet where these young “extremists and zealots” could channel their energy in a constructive way..

The Stoliner Rebbe has never been the type to stick his finger out the window to see which way the wind is blowing. He leads from conviction, not convenience. He does his own research, weighs the facts, and then makes a clear, independent decision for his followers without bending to pressure or trends. We saw this during COVID, with technology, with military service, and in many other areas. His leadership is defined by strength, clarity, and unwavering principle.
These people don’t represent 99% of Chareidi Jews. They are woefully misguided.

It’s the right thing to do they’re obviously not spending time learning Torah. Or if they truly believe Torah protects, they shouldn’t waste their time protesting instead they should go in yeshiva and spend more time learning Torah.

You really think Stoliner chassidim are in the Israeli army. An army that’s anti Chareidi. An army that allows girls,gays and trans. Give me a break.
I think that Robert Heinlein had the right idea for these menuvalim and the rest of the “Chareidi Community”. Government service confers citizenship. No service, no vote.
