BOROUGH PARK (VINnews) – A woman was removed from Eichler’s in Borough Park on Wednesday after attempting to confront New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani during his visit to the Brooklyn neighborhood ahead of the High Holidays.

The woman was identified as Stephanie Benshimol, a Jewish activist and social media influencer who has publicly criticized Mamdani and his positions on Israel and Jewish issues.
Benshimol was also seen confronting Phylisa Wisdom, executive director of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Antisemitism, on the street as Wisdom accompanied Mamdani during his visit. The city identifies Wisdom as the head of the mayor’s Office to Combat Antisemitism.
At Eichler’s, Benshimol attempted to approach Mamdani, prompting security to remove her from the store. Mamdani was quickly ushered out of the store by security as the confrontation unfolded.
Mamdani was visiting Eichler’s and other Brooklyn businesses ahead of the High Holidays, with Rosh Hashanah beginning next week.

How can the Mamzerani’s goons throw someone out from a private property without consent of the property owner? It is obvious that the BP Eichlers ownership/management was on the Mamzerani side. Therefore, we should publicize the BP Eichlers owner or the manager responsible for allowing Mamzerani in and this peaceful protester out.
Meanwhile, don’t give any business to BP Eichlers, until the responsible party is fired or disowned.

I’m curious to know were all of the protests were back in 2009, when another New York City Mayor, Bloomberg, visited Boro Park looking for votes for a third term. Bloomberg could have cared less about the Chassidim residents who lived in Boro Park, whom he referred to as “The Black Hats”. In 2006, during Chol Hamoed Pesach, when the late Mr. Schick, the owner of Schicks Bakery in Boro Park, was roughed up by the cops, when he was arrested for challenging a parking ticket, a large civil disorder ensued. Instead of the cops trying to defuse the situation, they sent in their goons from other precincts, including the Tactical Patrol Force. They roughed up Jews in the streets, at random, and even pulled the beards out of some Jews. Every Jewish politician in NYC protested that outrage, with the exception of Bloomberg, who remained silent. Yet, a short three years later, he was back in Boro Park looking for votes. He should never have been welcomed back there.

We have organizations fighting antisemitism, conferences about antisemitism, committees studying antisemitism, webinars teaching us about antisemitism and politicians condemning antisemitism and antizionism. The police increase patrols in Jewish neighborhoods, statements are issued, everybody promises that hate has no home here, and we wait for the next incident.
And yet antisemitism seems to be flourishing around the world. I strongly believe antisemitism is in the mother’s milk.

Antisemitism Is Not Judaism
Antisemitism and antizionism allows our enemies to occupy far too much space in our Jewish lives.
Our Jewish life should not be organized around people who hate me.
I want our children and grandchildren to know why being Jewish is important and worth fighting for.
I care when Jewish students are threatened. I speak out when synagogues are attacked and urge that armed guards are available to guard our Jewish worshippers and especially our children and grandchildren who need security inside and outside their schools.
Antisemitism is not going away. We need to answer the following:
How do we get more Jews into synagogues? How do we make Jewish education affordable? How do we strengthen our connection to Israel? How do we build communities that young Jewish families actually want to join?
A How do we make sure our grandchildren remain Jewish?
