Status.news, in a report by Oliver Darcy, claims that Bartiromo’s departure stemmed from an incident involving an internal Fox memo that was allegedly shared with the White House.
According to the report, Bartiromo was involved in detailing information from the internal document to the White House, an allegation that has not been publicly confirmed by Fox News or Bartiromo.
Fox News announced Thursday that Bartiromo was no longer with the company after more than 12 years, but the network did not provide a reason for the decision.
“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 and a half years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” Fox News Media said in a brief statement.
Fox has since responded to reports about the circumstances surrounding her departure, characterizing the matter as a business decision. Bartiromo has not publicly addressed the reports.
The Status report comes as additional questions emerge over the abrupt timing of Bartiromo’s exit. She had been off the air since Aug. 9 and did not receive an on-air farewell before Fox announced her departure Thursday.
Bartiromo’s programs are already being rebranded. “Mornings with Maria” will become “Mornings with FOX Business,” with rotating anchors, while “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street” will be renamed “FBN’s Wall Street.”
The reported circumstances behind Bartiromo’s departure remain unconfirmed, but the Status account has added a new dimension to the sudden end of her more than 12-year run at Fox.

Garbage AI article, says nothing
She was excellent on Fox and will be missed.
Perhaps she will be tapped to become President Trump’s next press secretary. Trump likes her a lot. There were unconfirmed reports that Trump was considering her for his running mate back in 2024. As Trump would say “we’ll see what happens”
Maybe she’ll go back to being Money-Honey on CNBC or whatever.
