Sabine Taasa, who survived the Hamas-led attack but lost her husband, Gil, and her son, Or, stood up during the event to challenge the film’s portrayal of the Israel Defense Forces and the war in Gaza.

According to footage from the event and Israeli media reports, Taasa was met with shouts including “Nobody cares,” “Go away” and “We don’t want to hear it.” At one point, audience members reportedly laughed and called on her to leave as she recounted the murder of her family.

Taasa nevertheless continued speaking as members of the audience stood and demanded that she leave. Calls of “shame on you” could also be heard. The incident ended after an audience member approached the person filming and blocked the camera.

In remarks reported after the incident, Taasa challenged the film’s focus on Palestinian civilian casualties while, she argued, failing to portray the suffering of Israeli victims of Hamas.

“My late husband and son were massacred on Oct. 7,” Taasa said, according to Ynet. “The creators of NAZA are gaining fame at the expense of our dead, our soldiers and our children.”

The film was directed by Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, who previously co-directed the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land. The two were not present at the Dutch screening when Taasa addressed them.

NAZA has become one of the most controversial Israeli films of the year. The documentary is based on interviews with 24 Israeli soldiers and intelligence personnel who spoke anonymously about Israel’s military operations in Gaza. The filmmakers say they spent nearly three years conducting the investigation, including nighttime interviews on rooftops in Tel Aviv.

The film examines Israel’s use of intelligence and artificial-intelligence systems in selecting targets and focuses on the concept of anticipated civilian casualties. The Israeli military has rejected major allegations made in the documentary, questioning the reliability and level of knowledge of some of the anonymous sources. The filmmakers have defended their reporting and said they corroborated the testimony with documents and other sources.

The documentary has nevertheless received significant international recognition. It won the Special Jury Prize at the 2026 Venice Film Festival, where it received a lengthy standing ovation. It subsequently premiered in North America at the New York Film Festival amid heightened security and protests.

The film has also provoked a fierce political backlash in Israel. Culture Minister Miki Zohar accused Abraham and Szor of treason and called for their Israeli citizenship to be revoked, while protesters demonstrated outside the home of Szor’s parents. International figures in the film industry, meanwhile, have expressed support for the filmmakers and condemned threats against them.

The confrontation in the Netherlands prompted a response from Dutch politician Geert Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom (PVV). Wilders invited Taasa to meet him at his office in the Dutch parliament and wrote that he would “always support Israel and fight Islamic terrorism,” adding: “Never surrender.”

I have come to the belief that those whose hatred is so deep that no matter the amount of proof’s presented to them showing that Israel was the wronged party and Jews, were not, and are not to blame for the atrocities, They will not allow themselves to be shown or believe the truths! ( Hence the term Useful idiots!)

Oh well, the tunnels were blown up, Gaza leveled, and hamas leaders destroyed. So you can make films crying about Pals all you want. And the Dutch, Ireland and Europeans? When they fall under radical Islam and their women are wearing berka and unable to receive an education they will be wishing for Israeli defense / bombs. THEN WHO IS GOING TO SIT BACK AND LAUGH?

I too am sorry that she had to suffer that, but Western Europe is finished. Their birthrate is declining while the Muslims have six pups in a litter.

Sabine is an inspirational courageous woman, she overcame adversity in front of a hostile, jew hating audience of vapid scum, they’d rather believe fake Pallywood, lies and propaganda than her living testimony of the barbaric evil murdering of her husband and eldest son at the hands of Arab terrorists from Gaza.
