Augusta. ME – Mitt Romney and Ron Paul are the undisputed favorites in Maine, the next state weighing in on the Republican presidential race. They’re the only candidates who have made much of an effort in the state.

Maine’s Republican Party is set to announce the victor Saturday night of the GOP contest. Local Republican Party committees have spent the last week holding caucuses in schools, town halls and fire stations up and down the state.
It’s the first step toward electing Maine’s 24 delegates to the GOP convention. The outcome could give bragging rights to the victor as well as a slight uptick in delegates.
Maine’s GOP chairman, Charles Webster, says there are pockets of support for all the candidates but predicts that the race will come down to Romney and Paul.
What’s up with the term bragging rights? The media is full with it lately. Since when do we care about bragging right? Either you win or you lose, no one is in this in order to have a “right” to go around bragging.
