One of the suspects, Ziad Awad, 42, is a Hamas operative who had previously been imprisoned for terrorist activity but was released in the Gilad Schalit deal.
Video below of the arrest:
Mizrahi was killed when driving near Hebron on his way to a Passover seder. His wife and one of their children were also injured in the attack, as was a nine-year-old boy in another vehicle which was hit by the terrorists’ fire.
The arrest of Ziad Awad and his son Azzadin Ziad Hassan Awad, 18, from Kfar Idna north of Hebron, was made on May 7.
Both Ziad Awad and his son were charged in military court on Monday.
The IDF has submitted a decree to destroy the home of Ziad Awad, army sources said. The demolition would be the first of its kind in years.
A senior army source said of the shooting, “This attack was planned thoroughly ahead of time. He is a Hamas member, and he used a standard [automatic weapon] to fire on the vehicle, before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.”
The Shin Bet, the police’s Counter-Terrorism Unit, the police’s crime scene investigation officers, and IDF all joined forces to track him down, the source said. Awad had previously been imprisoned for killing Palestinians he accused of collaborating with Israel.
In response to the announcement of the arrests, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett expressed harsh words on Monday against the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.
“Today we need to clearly say: No more terrorists will be released,” Bennett said. “After 30 years, it’s clear that Israel should not release any more terrorists, in any situation, period.”
The Bayit Yehudi leader said the revealed arrest of Ziad Awad should eradicate the idea of prisoner releases.

Is it fair to say that whoever signed to release those terrorist has blood on his hands ??????
Israel should implement the death penalty, and use terrorist bodies for trade offs like this
Why is this a shock to everyone?
We thought it would take longer for them to kill.
What a mistake.
They should be shot between the eyes on the evening news.
The other major problem is that these animals don’t halve life at all, so the threat of a death penalty won’t deter them, especially since they think they have paradise and 70virgins awaiting them after death.
Perhaps the time has come for Israel to institute the death penalty . That way there would be no more prisoner exchange demands.
