The Staten Island Advance (http://bit.ly/1Nw1SL4 ) reports that the 630-foot-tall observation wheel is scheduled to open for business in 2017.
Up to 1,400 passengers at a time will view the scenery of New York City, New Jersey and beyond during a slow-moving, 38-minute ride.
The New York Wheel project was approved by the city in 2013.
It’s now back in the public-review process because the developer has proposed changes, including the parking garage, power system and terminal.
The city’s Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Sept. 9.

An orthodox jewish entrepreneur is the ‘brain’ and the developer of the Wheel. He should have hatzlacha.
A $500 million project doesn’t happen every day. VIN should profile him, hopefully other will be inspired from it.

Las Vegas has the biggest Ferris Wheel in the world.

Built with private money. Caesars Entertainment.
Horrible investment. It loses money. And Caesars is soon going bankrupt.
