New York, NY – For all the New Yorkers facing the task of digging their parked cars out from piles of snow, Mayor Bill de Blasio has a message: Don’t.

De Blasio says New York City residents should leave their cars where they are if they can. He doesn’t want people to put the snow from their vehicles back into the streets while the city is trying to clear up from the blizzard.
The city has suspended its alternate-side parking rules through Monday, Feb. 1 so people won’t have to move their cars. Vehicles currently parked next to schools in no standing school hour zones are allowed to remain there until Wednesday, Jan. 27.
How does he expect us to get to work????
Is the Mayor going to leave his limo parked in the snow?
First of all never park on the right side of the street by a storm. the plows dump the snow to the right.
Secondly, please take off your hat when you shovel its unnecessary.
Wow what a dumb article. How are we supposed to get anywhere??? Does he think we have cars just for fun???
Now, isn’t that a cute picture?
THAT IS SOME GOOD SPOUSE TRAINING RIGHT THERE
That guy’s wife is a real aishas chayil.
While I understand the mayor’s concern about snow being thrown back onto the street, the problem with leaving a car buried under snow is that the snow turns into ice over time (thawing during the day, refreezing at night). Then it’s just about impossible to dislodge the vehicle when alternate side of the street parking resumes.
