Amman’s government spokesperson Mohammed am-Momeni told Jordanian media that “the Israeli occupation and settlers are violating the rights of the worshipers at Al-Aksa.”
The spokesman warned that continued visitation will have serious consequences and called on Israel to immediately stop the entryof security forces and Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount complex.
As of about 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Jerusalem security forces had removed two Jewish visitors to the Temple Mount complex. Police said the two had violated theregulations on Jewish visitation to the contested holy site.
Visits to the compound were due to continue as routine on the second intermediary day of Passover.
On Sunday, the Temple Mount complex sawapproximate 1,050 visitors, including 885 tourists and over 100 Israelis.
Temple Mount security personnel and border policemen on Sunday removed 13 Jewish visitors from the contested holy site for violating the High Court’s law forbidding Jews from openly praying at Judaism’s holiest site due to security concerns.
Police officers also had to removePalestinians who were chanting “Allahu Akhbar” from the area.
Just which government has control of the area known as the temple mount? I believe Israel is the master , but moshe dayan gave the keys to the wkif immediately after winning control of it. Jordan is merely a supervisor of that place not the owner .
This is the same Jordan that desecrated Jewish tombstones during their occupation of the Old City, using them as latrines.
and this is a direct result of Israel showing they are willing to give up sovereignty over Jerusalem.
It is to bad that Israel turned into a banana republic that bows to all the nations. When will the Israelis stop voting for the same people to run the government and start voting for people who believe Israel is a sovereign nation and not a banana republic servant to the world.
This is why we continue to say in the מוסף davening – מפני היד שנשתלחה במקדשך
Dear #7 about the comment made about #4 I am sorry but my family helped build Tel Aviv in the early 1900’s when Tel Aviv was a sand drift, so I have every right to comment about Israel and the direction it is going. Even if not on the land now I have every right to comment on its politics, since I have that investment of family pride of being part of the building of Israel.
