During a hearing on whether to extend the 3 p.m. Thursday deadline in the state’s recount for a U.S. Senate seat the governor’s race, U.S. District Judge Mark Walker noted that Florida has a history of “razor thin” elections, yet Palm Beach County delayed purchasing enough voting machines to handle a recount.
Walker said Florida has been “the laughing stock of the world election after election and we chose not to fix this.”
The judge also said that the recount procedure in Florida law is written in a way that doesn’t allow for possible problems. He suggested that runs against past federal court rulings, including the Bush v. Gore ruling that decided the 2000 presidential recount.
Florida’s elections should be put under a federally-appointed panel until they can prove they are competent to run an election.
The Democrats establishment in Florida, are acting exactly like the Democrats, that could not tolerate President Trump winning. They should just accept the results, and move on already.
Old story that America is the laughing stock of the world. This election thing is just a “siman” on the general USA Yukel small minded mentality.
For starters why do we still have this antiquated paper like system? Why do people still need to wait on long lines to vote? Why can’t we find away to do this digital? We all bank and do everything else on-line. Figure out how to set up an online voting system. I know we all think the ruskies are coming to get us and we can’t trust anything online. But seriously come on there has got to be some safe way to do it. Its not so hard.
Its also symbolic of our general slowness mentality. We build highways and trains way too slow and always go over the budget. Our justice system is as slow and dumb as molasses. Watch us march around this Pittsburgh nazis bastrad for 10 years till he gets justice. I mean this guy viciously killed in public. No doubts what so ever. take him to the firing squad and shoot em dead.
America keeps on loosing and getting laughed at. We need to start winning and usiing brains
