Albrecht Stein, a court doctor who monitors Demjanjuk’s health in court, said Tuesday he had sent the suspect to a private clinic in Harlaching to undergo tests after the 90-year-old said his heart was troubling him.
Stein said he did not believe the pains Demjanjuk complained of while en route to the courtroom were serious, but did not want to risk having the suspect suffer a heart attack while in the courtroom.
The Ukrainian-born Demjanjuk, a former auto worker in the U.S., is charged with 27,900 counts of accessory to murder on allegations he was at the Sobibor camp, in Poland.
These old nazis know that time is on their side. If he can cause delays and be taken seriously of course he will.
