The pony was discovered dead at a JFK cargo facility shortly after its flight landed, sources told The Post.
The 1-year-old had been among 10 horses on El Al Flight 831. He started “kicking forcefully” in his pen about 30 minutes after takeoff from Liége Airport but calmed down only to die a short time later, a source said.
BDE
doesnt look like he was a talking horse like MR. Ed other wise he would of said let me out of here.
when is the levaya? imagine what these flight attendants had to deal with.
Does a horse cost so much ?
I bet it was those lousy meals they serve on El Al.
Horses do not belong in crates in the cargo section of a plane. They belong in the wild, no shock that he could not survive the flight – the fear alone stopped his heart.
Boy, talk about Tzar Bal ha Chaya. Putting horses in the cargo compartment? I’ve sat next to many fads on long trips. He probably wouldn’t have made it going around the baggage carosel anyway.
Yes, #6 , race horses can cost lots more than that too.
#6
Yes, thoroughbred racing horses can go for a lot more than that.
Some horses can fetch over a million with the right yichus…
Something doesn’t make sense either the destinations or the airline el al doesn’t fly from europe to usa only from israel
I can’t wait for animal rights activist to get on the case. I wonder whats more important to them that an animal died or that it was the fault of the Jews
I bet the amazed workers upon discovering the dead horse remarked ” now there’s a horse of a different color”!
Thank you, ModernLakewoodGuy for your comment:

Animals are not a means to an end. They give us the opportunity to restrain our impulse to dominate others who are cognitively weaker than the human animal.
I think something might have been wrong with the horse. Horses just do not die like that!!
i think they should enter him in the race anyway, after all, you can’t beat a dead horse 🙂
Reminds me of the story about the dog on El Al. A major donor to the State of Israel shipped a dog on El Al. When the plane landed, the workers found the dog dead. They were in a panic, because this fellow was a major VIP. Orders were given to find another dog that looked exactly the same, and substitute it.
They searched high and low in all the pet stores, and found a perfect match. They put it back in the box, and when the owner came to claim it, they proudly handed it over to him. He took one look at it and said it is not my dog. They asked, what do you mean, he is the same breed, the same size and has the exact same spots, what is the problem?
The owner said again, it is not my dog. They said how do you know? Replied the owner, my dog had died, and I was sending it to Israel for burial.
that’s why there shouldn’t be any horsing around on planes.
I work at the Belgium airport. Even before it boarded the flight I saw something wrong. I asked the horse, ‘What’s with the long face?’
I hope it was insured
