Yudkin, an officer who served for 12 years in the Nahal Charedi battalion and has been on reserve duty since Oct. 7th, stressed that “There is nothing for the charedim to do in the army. The army is lying- there is no need for charedim. 3000 were taken to Shlav Bet [a shortened service for older charedim]. They don’t have anything to do with them! They are just lining up with those who are trying to create divisiveness within the people of Israel.
“They say the whole time there is a lack of combat soldiers. The army doesn’t lack soldiers, there are tens of thousands who don’t do anything from morning to night. The army needs fighters, but who said that the charedim would be good fighters? Are the charedim the cannon fodder of the state? I have a brother who’s in 8200 [intel] I have a brother who drives a D9 tractor, who says they’re good for combat?
“I opened another battalion a few months ago and we haven’t even received weapons. Despite the chief of staff initiating it and giving it specific commands, we haven’t got weapons! Its called Magen David, its for charedi reserve soldiers, but they haven’t even given us shoes! They shouldn’t lie, if 1000 charedim will now enlist they have nothing to do with them.
“The army hasn’t got spare equipment, it isn’t prepared to absorb charedim, it’s all one big lie.”
לוחם מגדוד מגן דוד שם קץ לשקרים: בצבא משקרים לציבור – לא חסרים לוחמים, יש עשרות אלפי חיילים שלא עושים כלום מבוקר עד ערב. למי בצבא יש אינטרס לשסע את העם? pic.twitter.com/J0rvikE9FK

There is no need for more soldiers? Fine, than stop drafting the non-charedim as well.
The question is not what the IDF is able to absorb this week, but how the country should be run long-term, where the entire burden of IDF service falls upon non-haredim, with haredim of the same age going about their lives as usual.
The problem is, most of those who are screaming that you don’t serve, unfortunately they’re probably more interested in you not surviving than actually serving.
I worked for the IDF, I saw with my own eyes how much hatred there was towards the charadim.
Pure disgust.
