    20

Soon, such a building will be completed in the town of Ramenskoye, in the Moscow Region. Yesterday, this 770 project has reached a new stage, with the completion of the building’s outer shell. Rabbi Yitzchak Kogan, who heads the Synagogue on Bolshaya Bronnaya in Moscow, is spearheading this massive undertaking.

Yesterday, Rabbi Yitzchak Kogan and members of the Jewish community gathered in order to celebrate the completion of this fundamental stage in the construction process for the 770 building in Ramenskoye. A good number of youth were also involved in the festivities, excited by the fact that this significant project has reached Russia and that they could witness its establishment and eventually play a role in its development.

The 770 in Ramenskoye will incorporate a number of essential institutions for the operation of the Jewish community, including a Synagogue. The building will also accommodate a library, a swimming pool, rooms for conducting seminars and gatherings, a gym, and a museum featuring an exhibition on the original 770 building in Brooklyn.

How sad that people feel the need to have a building’s design be so important a factor. Little different than a Borsalino, Shtreimel or Israeli Flag for each group that needs a silly symbol; when each group has so much better to offer.

I don’t care what the building looks like. It is fine with me if they want it to look like 770. Why not be happy that they are bringing yidden back to yiddishkeit in such a difficult place? Kiruv is a tough business to be in… I wish them great success!

Why are they so obsessed with the 770 building? If it costs extra, it strikes me as especially silly.

770 is a house number, which (the house) has generated many, many mitzvoth. And became the symbol for Goodness and Kindness. Hope the new 770 in Russia, will also generate a lot of Mitzvot

    I love Chabad.

But their obsession with the number 770, and the building which has that address is embarrassing.
It may even be crossing the line into some matters not to be discussed here.

But, it is certainly not something I like, no matter how much I love Chabad.

    Dear Chabadniks,

What is is that pushes you people to be so hung up on the number 770? No other chasidis that I know of worships that number like you do. Look at others such as Vishnitz, Skver, Ger, Stolin, Bobov, etc.

The other question I have is what is with you people and the building? You try to have the building look the same wherever possible. I dont see that with others.

Anything associated with a tzadik is holy, including the keilim he used during his life. Never a lack of soinim when it comes to Lubavitch.

It has its reason to build a copy of 770
The rebbe explained it once. In simple words, the shliach learned niglah, nistar, was inspired, farbrenged, had yechidus, recieved dolars and brochos from the rebbe etc etc. in 770. So as not to forget this, to be constantly reminded and to be “reinspired” all over again everytime he sees a 770, this has great importance and will positively affect his shlichus and his community in his remote city.

    Dear “Not a Luby”

The Lubavitcher Rebbe spoke about the significance of the number “770” and how this is the number of the shul – is not a coincedence….as we know all is for reason…
Instead of your comment………….it would be better replaced by “Dear Chabadniks – I admire the work that you do – in all corners of the world….russia, vietnam, brazil and every other corner of the world ………. just so u can reach one more Jew “

Anytime that the word chabad is mentioned, do you haters really have to comment? Go and learn something or do something productive….. dont use the internet as a way to spread your jealousy and hate… And why do you have to make comparisons? Every chasidic group is unique in their own way…. Chabadniks and thousands upon thousands of JEWS (Athiest, religious, consevative, modern, reform, agnostic, politicians, jewish figures, professors) have always found 770 to be a beacon of light and pride wherever in the world they find themselves….. SO why would it be weird to build a replica so people can feel close and have a connection to 770, even though they are so far… CASE CLOSED?…… give it up already….. dont always make such a big deal about nothing…. maybe a donor that gave the money requested and wanted the building that way…. like seriously…. ..

These hating comments are all silly. chassidim dont be nispoel. the rebbe explained the significance of 770 in a famous sicha that was edited by the rebbe himself, in which he btw also explains that it is a beis hamikdash because it is beis rabbeinu shebebavel etc etc. for all you haters and nay-sayers, learn the sicha and then direct your comments directly towards the rebbe, not his chassidim who follow his directives and teachings. then its a whole different ballgame, all of a sudden you haters are scared to challenge because you know who and what youre up against. dont be a ingnoramous shooting off his void brain via his vain mouth, instead open the book and learn. then we can talk. gladly. chag kosher vsomeach to all. may it truly be a chodesh hageulah for all of klal yisorel.
