The system would allow responders to turn traffic lights green for responders and other lights red at intersections for civilian motorists, officials said.
According to the Journal News The town is targeting 92 intersections chosen by fire officials across the community.
Each traffic light would be equipped with a device that would change the light’s color from a signal sent by a transmitter on fire vehicles, police cars or ambulances, officials said.
will this work for hatzalah aswell
I am sure that every macher will make sure to have one in his car
This is very common “out of town” and works very well. When a ambulance has his transmitter activated, all lights in his approaching path change to green.
To commenter #2 , you are correct. It is called a infrared preemptive device, and is very easy and inexpensive to get but if you get caught using it, is is a felony in most states. People have been caught with this device and were arrested.
Let’s get it in the city first
every yukil and self made askan in monsey brooklyn and lakewood will have one very soon. just wait and see
Mostly they work together with cars lights & Sirens, so if a macher wants to pass by a light with the full package blasting so be it, however when he get caught none of his conections will help him from getting the cops to empty the book on him!!!
