The plastic devices called “e-cigarettes” carry no warning labels and are heavily advertised on the Internet.

Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal of Manhattan says e-cigarettes need to be studied before sales — including to children — are allowed to continue.

Her concerns are the nicotine in the plastic devices and that most are made in China and other countries where the safety of products isn’t well regulated.

Manufacturers say the devices are safe and emit only vapor. They say the products can help people quit smoking.

Public health organizations say e-cigarettes should be regulated like nicotine gum or patches and warn they contain dangerous chemicals.

Instead of being happy that chidren and adults have found a safe alternative the liberals in government are out there making problems. The truth what they really want is to regulate and be able to tax it like real cigarettes. After all with all people quitting where will Bloomy and Obama get money from.

This is an outrage. E-Cigarettes have made it possible for countless people to quit smoking on their own terms. I know several people who have done it. How many of these “politicians” are in the pockets of the tobacco companies who are fighting these e-cigs tooth and nail.

I have personally used one of these on occasion and they are fantastic. No foul odor. No inhaling toxic smoke. No second hand smoke. You can use them anywhere and nobody would know but for the sight of the vapor, or the smell from some of the “flavors”.

These kinds of disgraceful acts must be stopped. Let people live their own lives for a change! This is what happens when ultra-liberals push their lifestyle on everyone else.
