The NIS 40 million project was mostly financed by Hagihon, with Mekorot National Water Company financing a third.
The pipeline runs through Emek Ha’arazim, west of Jerusalem, between Motza and the Golda Meir Interchange.
Hagihon said that Jerusalem residents will soon see an improvement in the quality of the supply of water. “Every Friday afternoon, we see at our control center in Bayit Vegan a sharp rise in demand for water because of showers for the Sabbath. This demand usually results in a drop in water pressure. There will now be greater water pressure in faucets, which will be felt in homes across the city”
