Rabbi Horowitz said that the idea for the free public service came as a result of he and Rabbi Mifsud exploring options for offering assistance to parents despite the huge government cuts that have a wide range of organizations serving teens at risk reeling. Rabbi Horowitz announced that Thursday night’s teleconference was only the first in a series and that future teleconference calls will cover a wide range of subjects including tips for raising teenagers, doing homework with children, and keeping children safe from abuse and molestation.

Rabbi Horowitz said that in light of the government cuts, Project YES will maintain its commitment to help families raise their children, and will need to figure out ways to do it on a smaller budget. Other venues are being explored including use of webinars and creative use of his website, www.rabbihorowitz.com
