As many as 30000 Jews flocked to the two-day celebration, centering on the tomb of Rebbe Nachman, the founder of the Breslov Hasidic movement who died in 1810. The visible Jewish presence in the city has in the past sparked tensions but this year’s event has been largely problem free.

Yup…sure make it easy to understand why 30,000 yidden have to leave their families for rosh hashana and fly over to Uman for the cholov yisroel pizza, free Wi-Fi, non-stop guitar music, off-key shofar blowing etc….
meshugoim amei haaretz invented a new religion that isn’t similar to judisim.
That haircut in middle of the street is nasty! i did the trip one time and would never ever ever do it again. Ther is no Hirhur Teshuva, there is no warmth there is no nothing!.. 15,000 Sephardim yelling and clapping yikes. Go to Stamur shul one time on a reg. shabbas and listen to Keil Adon it would do much more for you i promise you!.
Guess what, 90% of them are now in Amsterdam and In Germany just in time before Yom Kippur great going!
Bunch of mishagoim I don’t think their are any sane people in Uman on rosh hasonah ,HSYS takes all the nutcases to Uman for a refuah shelaimeh ( mentally that is ) one big mental institution . I just feel sorry for the poor kids whom thy shlep along
Its Woodstock with Yalmakas!!!
UMAN is like Home Depot everyone who is missing a screw is there
Free wifi all over. I thought the internet is banned? And why are so many smoking cigarretts?
Looks more like a fun getaway from the wife and kids than reverence for the holiday.
I find it hard to believe that R. Nachman would approve of this carnival leading up to Rosh Hashana.
It’s amazing how so many commentators here seem to know exactly what kind of davening Hashem wants. As though if we had the ability to look back 2,000 years ago to the time of our Bais HMikdash it would look exactly like our Shuls now. Read up a bit in the Chumash about the Avodah services and then ask yourself that question again. And start with the fact that at the center of the Bais HaMikdah was an altar where cows, goats and other animals were sacrificed.
Wow! So much hate, right after rosh hashana and tzom gedolia and right before kaporos and yom kippur.
If someone feels they want to go to uman whose business is it? You don’t want to go, don’t. Why disparage?
Obviously there is a reason so many people go.
Ah givalt! Where is the unity?
Why so much hate?
If a person doesnt want to go, they shouldn’t go. But to put people down because of your own judgements, isn’t the reality of the situation.
My freinds and So many yidden have changed there life to real עובדי ה.
May all the vosizneias readers have a year full of אמת. And true peace in klal yiseael. A year full of getting closer to the creator.
A year of accepting your challenges with love.
Amen.
