Port Authority spokesman Steven Coleman said Wednesday that 32-year-old Sean Henry, of Brooklyn, was nabbed in a sting operation using decoy bags in cooperation with the TSA.
Coleman says Henry was arrested after leaving work carrying in his backpack two planted iPads and other electronic devices. He says stolen items were also found in Henry’s home.
The 10-year veteran of the federal agency was arrested on charges of grand larceny and official misconduct. Information on his lawyer was not immediately available.
What is going on with these tsa officers. Seems like they gave very sticky hands. There is always some story with them
I know personally at least half a dozen people that had things stolen by TSA staff. Apparently there is some kind of rule that their work cannot not be videotaped. If surveillance cameras of the TSA screening were installed at the airports I am sure that it would cut down on the thefts.
Don’t put anything really valuable underneath, and watch carefully when they search your luggage. Unfortunately it cannot always be done.
These idiots work for very low wages, live in the most expensive city. They do this because that’s what idiots do. Steal from the public.
What did he do with the REST of the stuff he stole?????? Make a list!!!!
they should spend more time screening themselves instead of screening us
They do it because they can! No one can be trusted! And unfortunately many ganovim take security jobs because you don’t need any brains or any experience to get them. However, there are hardworking honest people who also take these jobs and we do need to acknowledge them and the safety they provide us. So I hope that the police keep catching these scum and I hope that the honest TSA workers help them do it!
Airport Security just isn’t what it used to be…..
