The clinic allegedly worked to locate young women in Romania from distant and poor areas, paid them 600 euro for an egg donation, and sold the eggs to Israeli couples for 3,000-4,000 euros.

As unsavory as it sounds, i’m not clear on the criminality of it.
i dont know why it should be illegal if they people agreed to sell it in the first place.
It’s like organ trafficking. Both parties want to do it, but some go between is making s huge profit. And it is illegal because they don’t want people to sell their organs for money.
Sounds really horrible but I do know someone who is alive because he happily paid a fortune for a liver. The legal channels produced nothing. So when you think about it the ethicality is debatable.
