The attack took place Monday morning at around 8 a.m. in the Fairfax District, near the Congregation Bais Yehuda synagogue, according to the local ABC affiliate, KABC. Surveillance video shows the assailant punching and kicking the man, knocking him to the ground. The assailant then walks away from the scene.
Los Angeles police have not classified the attack as a hate crime or robbery but rather a random attack, KABC reported.
The rabbi, whose name was withheld, was treated at the scene but did not require hospitalization.
“He’s never hurt a fly,” said one resident of the community who said he has known the victim for a long time. “He’s just a good guy going on the way to prayers this morning and gets pummeled for no reason other than probably being Jewish.”
Figures this happens in one of the few states won by Hillary.
This was a HATE CRIME. Clearly this maniac was casing the shul examining it for sometime before this hapless Yid came into his grasp. This hater will be caught easy enough.
1 it happened on the way from Shul not to Shul
2 it happened around the corner from the shul not right in front of the shul
