WASHINGTON (JNS) — The White House has told Israel that it will support the annexation of parts of the West Bank if the Jewish state agrees to the Trump administration’s Mideast peace plan—the “Peace to Prosperity” vision—that includes the creation of a Palestinian state, reported Axios on Thursday.

A senior U.S. official told the outlet: “We are prepared to recognize Israeli actions to extend Israeli sovereignty over areas of the West Bank in the context of the Government of Israel agreeing to negotiate with the Palestinians along the lines set forth in President Trump’s vision.”

U.S. and Israeli officials told Axios that the message has been sent to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

During a meeting of the U.S.-Israeli mapping committee that is seeking to outline the parts of the West Bank most likely to be annexed by Israel, U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman told Netanyahu’s aides that “the U.S. wants to implement a peace plan, not an annexation plan.”

According to the terms of the unity agreement reached by Netanyahu and his main rival, Benny Gantz of the Blue and White Party, the issue of extending Israeli sovereignty can be brought to the Knesset for a vote on July 1 at the earliest.

White House senior adviser and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner spoke last week with Gantz, those briefed on the call told Axios.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said last week that it was up to Israel whether or not to annex territory in Judea and Samaria, and the Jordan Valley, and that discussions on the issue are taking place through private channels with the Israeli government.

The Palestinians, however, have refused to negotiate with the Trump administration or even acknowledge the plan.

Most of the international community has objected to any Israeli plans for annexation.

Eretz Yisroel is the mezuzah of the world. Part of the benefit of putting up a mezuzah is that it protects the house and the people in it – שומר דלתות ישראל.

When the President signed the ‘Deal of the Century,’ a plan which puts the whole of Eretz Yisroel in terrible danger, I suspect that he, so to speak, removed the mezuzah from the world, allowing the spread of Covid-19, which happened shortly after he signed.

There couldn’t be a clearer sign from Above that he must immediately retract his approval of the Deal, and convince Bibi to abandon it too. If not, I’m afraid Hashem might remove His favor from the President and cause him to lose the election, against all odds.

Very silly comment. I’m not sure how you know what signs from Above mean down below.

Maybe the favor of Heaven was removed because of the gay parades in all the major cities of Istael as well as the pork stores, tattoo shops and chillul Shabbos.

“The Palestinians are not going to accept it,” says Phineas.

There is no need to accept this. The plan is a unilateral annexation. There is no movement toward peace as neither side wants peace.

Jews want peace; Arabs do not. Proof: How many Jews walk freely in Arab countries nowadays? How many Arabs walk freely in Israel?

Why should they trade anything? You say no to your kid so he starts vandalizing the house. If, as a result, you capitulate to his demands, you’re rewarding bad behavior and giving in to terror.

The Land of Israel – all of it, including Judea and Samaria – was given by G-d to the Jews. It belongs to them and they have absolute authority over it. If the Arabs living in those regions are willing to submit to Israeli authority and act peacefully, then Israel will treat them well, far better than they would ever expect.

But how is Israel supposed to react when those Arabs have shown time and again that they are determined to destroy Israel and are a clear and present danger to all Israeli citizens?
