NEW YORK (VINnews/SandyEller) – A video released by former Assemblyman Dov Hikind sharing his reasons for casting his vote for President Donald Trump on Election Day, despite having thrown his support behind Paul Ryan as a write in candidate in 2016, has gone viral and is being promoted by the Trump campaign.

A self-proclaimed lifelong Democrat, Hikind released his two minute and twenty one second clip on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday noon, the video had more than 511,000 views and had garnered 18,300 likes and 8,400 retweets and had also been retweeted by Donald Trump Jr. who commented, “Wow. A must watch.” Hikind also released an expanded 20 minute version that offered a more in depth discussion of the issues.
Hikind noted that the video was never intended to be limited to his usual audience of New Yorkers, but addressed concerns that voters nationwide might have about Trump. He described the video as an honest look at voter’s reservations about casting their votes for Trump.
“I understand that there are people who are upset with the president’s behavior and some of his comments and statements,” Hikind told VIN News. “I’m not some Trump-y guy coming along and saying he’s perfect. But people need to look at the president’s policies – he may not be perfect everywhere but has done a lot of extremely important things.”
Hikind also warned of the dangers of a potential Biden presidency, a message that he hopes will resonate with voters nationwide.
“People really need to think and to understand that if Joe Biden is elected president, the presidency won’t be a Biden administration,” noted Hikind. “It will be a co-presidency with the radical left, which includes Bernie Sanders, Rashida Tlaib, AOC, Linda Sarsour – the list goes on and on, which is why while I didn’t vote Trump in 2016, I will be voting for him this year.”

No excuse why he did not support Trump in 2016. I don’t buy this Johnny come late. I used to respect Hikind until he organized a black lives matter rally and march here in Ave J and ocean parkway. I actually did not like that he also spoke against Trump at the Talmud Torah debate.Of course vin won’t print this comment.
Regardless of all the wonderful things Dov Hikind is lauding President Trump – there is only ONE REASON the Jewish vote must go to the Republicans.
