Florida’s Trump Plaza Residents Move To Change Name

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — The residents of a South Florida condo complex want former President Donald Trump’s name officially removed from their home following the siege at the U.S. Capitol earlier this month.

The board of the Trump Plaza condominium voted unanimously last week to change the legal name of the 32-story, twin-tower complex in West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Post reported. Residents still have to vote on a new name, with submissions due at the end of February.

The complex sits on the Intracoastal Waterway, just a few miles away from the Mar-a-Lago private club on Palm Beach, where Trump is now living. Units at Trump Plaza start around $1 million and top out at over $4 million.

Signs with Trump’s name have been gone for months, and legally changing the name will sever the final connection to the former president.

“The Trump brand is damaged, so rebranding the complex is a wise move,” said Burt Minkoff, a Palm Beach real estate agent with Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

Trump Plaza signs on the roofs were removed in 2017 as part of a renovation, and residents voted last February not to replace them. Trump Plaza signs at street level were removed in June in the wake of protests against police violence following the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.

Minkoff said the Trump name had been a problem for a while, but the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol made it “a real lightning rod.” Trump had told supporters shortly before the attack to march on the Capitol and stop Congress from certifying Electoral College votes that declared President Joe Biden the winner of the November general election.

Some real estate agents have already been mentioning on listings that the building is no longer owned by Trump. It actually hasn’t been since 1991, when Trump handed the complex over to lenders. The New York real estate developer had borrowed millions to buy the complex several years earlier but struggled to sell units amid an economic downturn.

I couldn’t be more proud to live in a building bearing the name of the absolute best president this country had the fortune to have as its leader.

the new age stalinistas are on the roll
tearing down and erasing history
they think they will define truth itself for generations to come.
They take what trump had created and appropriate it, not only without a word of thanks, but maliciously slandering him in return for his kindness

These Alta kockers are running scared of Antifa and BLM. These democRATs love scaring all these normal people through threats of violence. But when they are on the receiving end they cry like whimping rats. Our enemies are laughing their heads off as they see opportunity to take over. When Trump comes back in 2024 He should go after all the democRATs with a smart vengeance. Appoint trusted people not double crossing RINOs. Pick protesters who were loyal to him. People like Heshy Tischler or Rabbi Mizrachi. Take police who lost their jobs because they supported Trump openly. You don’t need these double crossers who are only looking for their own career advancements and will work with anyone to get there. We here in Boro park or Monsey can supply such strong Trump idealists.
