ALBANY, N.Y. — New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has defended her response to the coronavirus, insisting that the state acted early and did all it could against the omicron variant’s rapid spread.

Hochul also told a news conference Friday that the state is shortening the amount of time essential workers must stay home after testing positive.
Fully vaccinated people in health care and other frontline fields can return to work after five days instead of 10 if they’re not showing symptoms or if their symptoms are resolving. They must also wear masks on the job. Some Republican officials have called the mask mandate an overreach.
I find it very interesting that the Governor cut down quarantine time for essential workers to 1/2 the time to 5 days. So does Covid when it infects someone ask for their job description? Does it ask if they are regular workers or essential? Does Covid say since you’re Essential I will only remain contagious for you for just 5 days, but if you don’t have an essential job Covid will remain contagious for longer?
Whether Covid is a threat is not my point. If the vaccine is a good idea is not my point either. My point is that our so called leaders are making up rules that sound dumb and that’s why people are too fatigued from hearing stupidity to listen to anything that may be true.
She obviously also “defends” releasing criminals and violent criminals without bail, untill the court date. What’s new?
Are the masks necessary or effective against Covid? Maybe or maybe not, but they definitely work against the flu which is spreading now so wearing them nowadays with the flu spreading it’s a good idea especially for health workers.
