BROOKLYN (VINnews/Sandy Eller) – Taking direct aim at Senator Chuck Schumer, former assemblyman Dov Hikind released a nine minute interview with Ava Martinez, a 10 year old actress who has garnered a large social media following by impersonating Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez in parody videos.

Hikind addressed numerous issues with Martinez operating in her “Mini AOC” mode, including funding for Israel’s Iron Dome, Jewish influence and white male privilege before zeroing in his main target – Schumer. Explaining that the Senate majority leader is reportedly worried that she will run against him in the 2022 elections, Hikind attempted to secure assurances from Mini AOC that she wouldn’t challenge Schumer by offering up incentives including opening global immigration to the United States and disbanding law enforcement in entirety.
In an interview with VIN News, Hikind said that mutual friends have said that Schumer is visibly concerned about facing off against AOC, a possibility that was mentioned last week by the Wall Street Journal in multiple articles. According to Hikind, Schumer has been laser focused for months on a single mission – making OAC happy to keep her from challenging him for his Senate seat.

“Schumer doesn’t represent me,” Hikind told VIN News. “He has said at every event I have ever been to that, true to his name, he is a shomer yisroel – someone who watches out for the Jewish nation – but he is the last person on line to be a leader who is standing up for us and speaking out against anti-Semitism. With people like Schumer protecting us, we end up in gas chambers.”
Hikind said that in a race between Schumer and AOC he would seriously consider voting against the incumbent senator.
“Would I support the ‘shomer yisroel’ who has been completely missing in action?” observed Hiking? “I actually have more respect for AOC than for Schumer because at least I know what she stands for. Schumer stands for whatever he thinks AOC wants him to stand for.”

Gratuitous references to gas chambers and exploiting the Holocaust is not only “not cool”, it creates a sort “boy who cried wolf” mentality amongst the general public (or, in this case, “the former elected official who cried Holocaust”).
To say he would vote for AOC is not normal. She’d stick him in the gas chamber before Schumer would.

Hikind is irrelevant now as he was when he was in the legislature not serving on any committees and never sponsoring significant legislation. He sees himself as a spokesman for all Jews which he is not. I understand he has left Brooklyn for suburbia making Brooklyn a better place.
I respect Dov and am a big supporter. I usually find him correct in his positions and courageous in stating things as he sees them.
However this interview is neither fascinating or hilarious. It’s plain stupid and in poor taste.
C’mon Dov, you can do better than this Purim play.
