NEW YORK (AP) — New York’s attorney general has issued subpoenas to former President Donald Trump and his two eldest children in connection with an ongoing civil investigation into the family’s business practices, according to a court filing Monday.

Attorney General Letitia James’ office said in the filing that it is seeking testimony and documents from Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump “in connection with an investigation into the valuation of properties owned or controlled” by Trump and his company, the Trump Organization.
I’m no Trump fan but this is political persecution.
If after five years of investigating Trump and having gone through over a MILLION papers of information we are now down a subpoena “in connection with an investigation into the valuation of properties owned or controlled” by Trump it’s time to stop.
As an accountant I’ll say two things are certain
(1)an investigation into the valuation of properties is vague enough of an area that it would be super easy to find excuses to investigate any enemy of yours who owns real estate on those charges
(2)The Trump organization did not make up the valuation of their buildings themselves. They hired outside licensed professionals to do so for them
Witch-hunt for attention . You ain’t getting your filthy hands on trump. And this should be illegal and discrimination. If you would never go after him had he not been president you can’t go after him now. This nonsense has to end
this is why its so dangerous to have affirmative action, you get unqualified people into power.

This is to be expected. The “Trump Organization” was always a business run by family members. If we want to learn about their business, we will have to talk to family members.
Besides, since they have nothing to hide this will be a great chance to clear their name.
If there has been no wrongdoing why wouldn’t the Trumps willingly testify? I have testified before grand juries several times and there has been no harm done to me.
If this is the newly sworn in attorney generals agenda, for the next four years, he can kiss his, empty and miserable career, goodbye !!!
