El Al Flight from US to Israel Lands in Spain After Passenger Attacks Crew Member

SPAIN (VINnews) — An EL AL flight from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv made an unexpected stop in Madrid, due to an unruly passenger who caused a ruckus.

According to reports, midway through the flight, the passenger ran up and down the aisles, disturbed other passengers, and physically assaulted a crew member who asked him to sit down.

The crew said he was acting “violently”, endangering other travelers, and disobeying the flight crew’s instructions.

After the plane landed in Spain, the passenger left the plane, although it is unclear if he was arrested.
