JERUSALEM (VINnews) – At least 1 Million Israelis are expected to attend the funeral of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky in Bnei Brak, Israel Police assessed ahead of the funeral, slated to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Following a situational assessment on the matter, Israel Police, together with Public Security Minister Omer Bar Lev (Labor) and Israel Police Commissioner Yaakov Shabtai, decided that 3,000 police officers will be deployed to ensure order during the funeral, and that he expects the operation to last over 15 hours.
Rabbi Yitzhak Zilberstein, a member of the Degel Hatorah party’s Council of Torah Sages and the brother-in-law of the late Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, on Saturday night called on parents to watch their children during Rabbi Kanievsky’s funeral, and protect them from being crushed.

People should be amply warned of the dangers. I have been at enough levayos in EY and they can become very dangerous. I really hope people will be careful.
