Last year, Juneteenth was designated a federal holiday to mark the effective end of slavery in the U.S. Since June 19 falls on a Sunday this year, it will be observed on Monday.

On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers brought news to Black people who were still enslaved in Galveston, Texas that they were free. That was two months after the Confederacy surrendered in the Civil War and about 2 ½ years after the Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves in Southern states.

My boss today (frum) asked my black coworker what juneteeth is about because he wanted to know more about it and she didnt didnt fully understand what it was about either! This holiday is really not for the general black population. It is really catering towards the white woke people.

The white American gentiles are trying to compensate The African American community with the atrocities that they did to them
The way I look at it my name is Paul and it’s between them all. And when I mean them all I’m talking about white Americans and black Americans.. It’s got nothing to do with us Let them make all the holidays they want.
At moments like this it’s best we mind our business…
