In the video, Lipa is standing with JJ who came to visit his home to deliver a gift. Lipa explains that Shloime Zionce originally introduced the two.

JJ then explained his journey to becoming frum, saying: “During covid I was watching Youtube, and I found a video by Peter Santanello, where he showed the Chassidic Jewish community. I enjoyed the videos and I kept watching. They showed Chassidim keeping Shabbos, eating meals with no screens or distractions.”

JJ was so inspired and uplifted by what he saw, he decided to start keeping Shabbos himself.

Several years ago, Youtube sensation Peter Santanello created a series of videos about the Chassidic community, featuring Shloime Zionce and Lipa Schmeltzer. The videos offer an inspiring glimpse of the community, and a rare glimpse from within. Peter has described the Chasidic world as being “full of mystery and wisdom.”

The videos have gotten millions of views.

This is the video that inspired JJ.

Its a great think that this fellow was inspered to seek out his heritage, but Sad thing is, why did it take a YouTube video to inspire a fellow jew? Why haven’t jews been inspired without YouTube?

Lipas college education inspired me to go to college. I thought if he who barely spoke English could go then certainly I could do it. I’m almost finished with my Doctorates in Biblical Criticism and Comparative Religion.
