NEW YORK (VINnews) — 40 campers from Camp Lemala had to be rescued on Sunday, after they got caught in a storm while on a trip in Wyoming County, NY.

The campers were on innertubes on the Susquehanna river when a storm blew through, forcing them to stop at a river bank.
According to the Lake Winola fire chief, first responders arrived in an airboat and rescued the campers.
No injuries were reported and all the campers made it back safely.

Sheesh it’s time to learn to read weather reports. Or at least take the filter off your phone so you can access the National Weather Service. I wonder how many of those tubers were wearing PFDs?
