Security forces are on high alert for election day when millions of Israelis will go to the polls. Kan news reported that there are nearly 100 warnings of potential terrorist attacks, a record number for the past year.

In the terror attack in Kiryat Arba on Motzaei Shabbos, Ronen Hanania Hyd was murdered and three others were injured. On Sunday, a terrorist rammed into a bus stop at the Almog junction near the Dead Sea and injured five soldiers. Later he was eliminated at the next junction.

According to Kan news, the terrorist who perpetrated the ramming attack had prepared for it for more than a month. He used to come to the area daily and stay in his car for hours, raising suspicions of bystanders.

Two of the soldiers injured in the attack are in light to moderate condition and the others have been released from hospital. Ofer Ohana, who was seriously injured in the Kiryat Arba attack, is recovering but is still not fully conscious and is in serious condition. Please pray for Ofer ben Tova and for Eliyahu ben Margalit, injured in last weeks stabbing attack in Jerusalem’s Givat Hamivtar neighborhood.

On Sunday, Hanania, who left a wife and son who was also injured in the attack, was buried in Jerusalem. His wife eulogized him, stating that “he was good to me and to my son. It’s hard for me to accept this but I say one hundred times thanks to Hashem for saving my son.

Hanania’s son Daniel said: Dear father, I don’t believe I am standing here, but Hashem made a miracle for me, a huge miracle which left me alive. Rabbi Yosef Karo wanted to die Al Kiddush Hashem (sanctifying G-d’s name) but in heaven they didn’t want him to die like that. Yet you, Aba, merited dying Al Kiddush Hashem. I call on the Israeli government to do everything possible so that this doesn’t occur again. They want to kill all of us, they glorify death and we glorify life.”
