Naftoli Moster Encouraged by Endorsement of Hochul

122

(VINNEWS) – Naftuli Moster’s life mission seems to have been to force the state to oversee and to take over the curriculum of Yeshivos throughout the state.  In September, the New York State Board of Regents voted to, pretty much, implement wide ranging requirements for Yeshiva curriculums throughout the state.  The State Board of Regents decision requires all private schools, including yeshivos to prove they are providing a basic secular education or risk losing government funding.

Current Governor Kathy Hochul was strongly supportive of the Board of Regents move, and so was former Yaffed head, Naftoli Moster.  Hochul’s support for the Board of Regent’s decision prompted most people in the Torah community to back Lee Zeldin, Hochul’s opponent.

Moster also knows that in order to maintain this “win” for his agenda – Hochul must be re-elected.

And yet, Moster is aware that if he states publicly that he is encouraged by the endorsement of the woman who will oversee the taking apart of the autonomy of Yeshiva education, he is likely to foment a rebellion against re-electing Hochul.

And so, other than some revealing tweets, Moster is remaining strategically silent.

Moster tweeted, “Hey New Yorkers,  New York might legitimately get a republican governor soon because Yeshiva leaders wanted Governor Kathy Hochul to intervene against efforts to bring their schools into compliance, and she refused.  As punishment, they are mobilizing their bloc votes for Zeldin.”

The endorsement by a Hasidic leader on supporting Hochul  and as a consequence her position on removing autonomy of Yeshivos and Chadarim over curriculum is rather startling.

Although, such an endorsement is welcomed by Yaffed, Naftoli Moster, and the liberal anti-Torah community, many believe that such an endorsement might be based on some deal for extra funding in some other manner – even though it would mean “selling out” the greater Torah community.

Most  Hasidic groups are endorsing Republican Lee Zeldin (R-Suffolk) for governor including Brooklyn-based Bobov, Bobov-45, and Belz.  Zeldin himself remarked, “The [Hasidic] leaders have been very engaged. They want to fight the rise of violent anti semitism. They want to fight anti semitism on our streets, in our schools and in the halls of government. They care about yeshiva education.”

Why does anybody give this pathetic publicity seeking scoundrel any air time?
This is precisely what he craves, and you’re playing directly into his hands

his life mission is to spread hate and lies against chasidim whom he falsely blames for his perennial unemployment and failed first marriage and to give them as much misery as he could [the real reason he got nothing from his yeshiva is because he spent all day bullying] one of the ways he tries to do it is by bashing yeshivos-he has other missions also but that’s not for now

There are a few select words that describe Moster. One is rage. The second is revenge. None of his actions are based on the desire to promote Torah study and raise our young in the derech of our ancestors. Nothing. He is consumed with his blind hate, and pays zero attention to seeking to increase appropriate supplementation to our curricula. He should not be given media attention, and needs to fade into oblivion.

There will be no opting out, as “Yiddena” says. And losing government funding is only “risk” step-one.
In Quebec, Canada, for example, not submitting to government bureaucrat-mandated regulations to provide their children with a secular education has been used as official grounds to take Jewish children away from their religious families, chas v’sholem, and to charge and prosecute their parents for child abuse.
“Stick that in your pipe and smoke it,” Mr. Naftoli Moster/Moser/Monster?

“The State Board of Regents decision requires all private schools, including yeshivos to prove they are providing a basic secular education or risk losing government funding.”

Is this true? So that means they are getting funding at this time, and a school can opt not to follow this and just not get the funding?

The real question is, whether Zeldin will force all the Yeshivos to, at least, teach the students the minimum needed to be able to write correct English sentences.
As a father and an uncle of quite a few of these boys, I would love that they should start teaching, at least that much.

hilarious. focusing on moster as if his endorsement one way or another matters, while deliberately not stating that it was an endorsement from satmar. Rewrite this article, be honest, and substitute Reb Aharon for mosters name

Hochul and Zeldin, BOTH have been courting Askanim trying to get our block vote.

realistically, Hochul could not come out publicly against the Board of Regents but she like all politicians before her would find a way to work with our community under the table and dilute or otherwise work around the new regulations.

moster is a victim just as much a perp, we know that Hasidish schools still use corporal punishment and are rife with abuse so he was likely a victim. 95% of people who go off the derech also have a mental illness.
