Yanki discussed the position of the Gedolim and Charedi party leaders about the hafganot. He explained that the real cause of the violence is a small secret group which uses the extremist youth as pawns to stir up trouble and create chaos. He also said that American parents should do their best to keep their sons away, because the hafganot are unsafe and the presence of American bochurim may encourage additional violence.

Yanki said, “They don’t listen to anybody…the boy who pushed the dumpster is 14, if he gets a good lawyer…nothing will happen to him, the police are arresting them, but when they come to court, it is exactly like what happens in New York…the judge looks at the boy, he looks like a nebach, and the judge releases him.”

He added, “For the last ten years, no leaders or Knesset members said anything, only now that a woman’s life is in danger did they wake up

Yanki also said, “”They do not belong to any Chassidus…They are just a bunch of lowlives, I don’t know what education the parents give them…my kids don’t go to Hafganot…they do not belong to any community, any Chassidus, any yeshiva.”

Recently, a terrible tragedy took place when a Charedi wife and mother was critically injured by protesters and remains in very bad shape R”L. Yet the extremists continue to protest violently, despite having no support from Gedolim.

I am old man, 80+, was on bus from center of town to home in Ramot. When we got to Strauss, so the bus driver stopped and that was it. We sat in the bus for a long time, the driver opened the doors so people could leave and I sat their for a long time.
Eventually, I had to walk back to town, take a bus to the central bus station and another bus home. Wasn’t easy for me.
This is not first time. One time I had to take a cab since buses were not available. Cost me money to get to a doctor.
These people who block streets have no appreciation of other people, even religious people. They only care about their own agenda. Sickos..

Meah She’arim Rabbonim know the identities of each and every one of them, they know every family in Meah Shearim, know every demonstrator, and know every rabble-rouser who organizes them.

And they know perfectly well how to stop them, would they want to.
