Shas head Aryeh Deri came to the hospital and consulted with Hadassah director Prof. Yoram Weiss and the head of the ICU Prof. Varnon about the condition of the 81-year-old Rabbi Bazri, which deteriorated significantly overnight.

Please daven for Rav David Shalom Ben Victoria for a Refuah Sheleima.

Rabbi Bazri, a great- grandson of the sister of the Ben Ish Chai and great-grandson of the Mekubal Rabbi Yehuda Petaya, is considered one of the great mekubalim in Israel and became famous after he succeeded in exorcising a dybbuk from a resident of Dimona in 1999. He has performed similar ceremonies a number of times in conjunction with another Mekubal, Rabbi Yaakov Adas.

After heading the Chevrat Ahavat Shalom with Rabbi Yaakov Hillel, Rabbi Batzri set up his own yeshiva in the Mekor Baruch neighborhood of Jerusalem. His son, Rav Yitzchak Bazri, is also a renowned Mekubal and one of the heads of the yeshiva.
