Commander Of Islamic Jihad Rocket Force Eliminated In IDF Targeted Strike, Rocket Launches Continue Unabated

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — As a cease fire in Gaza has yet to materialize and as the Islamic Jihad continued to fire rockets at Israel, numbering nearly 500 launches by Thursday morning, Israel continued to respond with targeted precision attacks. Early Thursday morning, the IDF eliminated Ali Ghali, the commander of the rocket launching force of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. During the attack, two additional terrorists with him in the apartment were also eliminated.

According to the IDF, Ghali was entrusted with the instruction and the launching of rocket fire toward Israel, including the recent barrage of rockets toward Israeli territory as part of operation “Shield and Arrow”. Ghali instructed and took part in launching the barrage of rockets toward Israel during operations “Guardian of the Walls” and “Breaking Dawn”.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said, “A short while ago, IDF fighter jets targeted Ali Ghali, the commander of the rocket launching force of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, who was in a hideout apartment in Khan Yunis.”

About a quarter of the Islamic Jihad’s rockets failed to cross the Gazan border and, as in previous operations, some of them had fatal results for local civilians, including several children killed in failed rocket launches.

During one of the incidents, Varami Shadi Hamdan, aged 16, and Muhammad al-Shabaki, aged 51 from Beit Hanoun, were killed as a result of a failed rocket launch carried out by the terrorist organization.

In Gaza City, Lynn Balal Ubed Elsalam Loch, aged 10, and Yazen Juda Alian, aged 16, were killed as a result of a failed rocket launch carried out by the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization located in the city.
