JERUSALEM (VINnews) — One of the four people injured in Tuesday’s deadly terrorist attack was Matanya Olami. A relative said that Matanya was caught in the attack after leaving his car and coming under fire. Matanya returned fire to the terrorist until he was shot twice in the leg, once above and once below the knee.

The father of six from Elon Moreh saw that he was suffering from arterial bleeding. Taking off his Tzitzis, he succeeded in making a makeshift tourniquet and was later taken to hospital where he was operated on later in the day. During the course of the operation doctors used screws to secure the bones of his foot and Matanya has started trying to walk again.

Matanya’s family say that he has been “given his life back as a present” and this is not a light matter, as Matanya’s father, Rabbi Amiram (Ami) Olami, who served as the rabbi of Otniel, was murdered in a terrorist shooting attack which occurred nearly 29 years ago near Chevron.

Three other people were wounded in the Eli attack and are recovering from their injuries. Morel Muiz Nakar, the Eli security officer who shot the terrorist, is recovering in hospital after being injured in the exchanges of fire. Nakar was operated on and is recuperating.

It is open season on Jews in Yehudah Shomron. This man is an absolute hero plus an incredibly tough gever. But something must be done to quell these attacks. Not sure what…

I am a Charedi anti-Zionist. The solution to the terrorist problem is not (only) to blow up his house and displace his family, but for every Jew wounded in an attack, Israel should declare and grant immediate permits for 100 housing units in the settlements. For every Jews killed, 1000 units.

    There you again.

Entire families were murdered in the dangerous territories. But to these crazy Misnachlim living there is a Mitzvah. In fact its a sin to live there in a lions den.

Right wing religious Zionism is a twisted ideology and dangerous.
