Ben Yosef was laid to rest in the village of Madar, located north of Sana’a, Yemen, as noted by Ynet. Although he had family in Israel, there was no one left in Yemen to carry out his burial.

The news of ben Yosef’s passing was shared in a Facebook group dedicated to Yemenite Jews. The announcement highlighted that his Muslim neighbors had conducted the burial due to the absence of any remaining family members in Yemen. Roi Kais, a reporter for KAN News, mentioned that sources close to ben Yosef revealed that although he had initially refused to immigrate to Israel, he had changed his mind later in life. Unfortunately, the immigration process became stalled on the Israeli side, preventing his relocation.
