Temple Mount activists who are Kohanim (priests) wore priestly garments and rushed to the estimated location of the temple courtyard where they waved the two loaves in accordance with the halacha before being detained by police and Waqf officials.

For the first time since the destruction of the Temple, according to sources from the Temple Mount movement, the Shtei HaLechem offering was performed at the location of the Temple courtyard. It was waved according to halacha by a Kohen dressed in full priestly attire, under the supervision and halachic guidance of Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, head of the Temple Yeshiva and president of the Temple Institute.

The Kohen sanctified his hands and feet at the site of the Azarah (Temple courtyard) using a ritual vessel. He then received the bag containing the two loaves from someone who managed to bring them despite Waqf efforts to stop it. The Kohen managed to perform the waving of the loaves before the police removed him from the courtyard area.”

After the waving, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel tearfully recited the “Shehechiyanu” blessing, and the public responded “Amen.”

A statement from the “Return to the Mount” movement said:

“We commend the activists who renewed the Temple service for the first time in 2,000 years. The renewal of priestly service and sacrificial offerings on the Temple Mount is the only solution to end the multi-front war and to bring back the hostages. We call on the Israeli government to pass a resolution as soon as tomorrow to restore the Temple sacrificial service.”

Any Jew that doesn’t recognize the significance and importance of this has their head in the sand. Do you really think that other nations will just fold up their houses of worship and walk away one day?!? It is incumbent on us, all of us, to remove them from our midst. If the government, national or mainstream religious leaders won’t do it, zealots will. It’s OUR choice.

Did they purify themselves according to the Torah before bring this offering? If not then their offering was brought to the Avoda Zarah.
It’s not so simple to do these things in golus while we’re impure
