JERUSAlEM – As the skies over Israel light up with incoming rockets and missiles, one name continues to stand out — Brigadier General (Res.) Daniel Gold. The visionary Israeli engineer who first conceived of the Iron Dome missile defense system decades ago is once again proving how foresight and innovation save lives.

Gold began pushing the idea of a short-range missile defense system in the early 2000s, despite widespread skepticism at the time. Today, Iron Dome is intercepting rockets in real time, preventing mass casualties and widespread destruction across Israel.
Gold’s leadership — from his days in the Israeli Air Force to his role as head of the Directorate of Defense Research & Development — shaped one of the most successful defensive technologies in modern history. For his role, he was awarded the Israel Defense Prize and honored with lighting the torch at Israel’s Independence Day in 2015.
At this critical moment, as the system he envisioned protects families under fire, Israel — and the world — is witnessing just how impactful one determined engineer can be.
Thank you, Brig. Gen. Danny Gold. Am Yisrael Chai.

Hashem put it in his mind, Hashem, releases innovations into the world when it is the right time. Yes, Daniel Gold deserves Hakaras Hatov but he is 100% a Shliach of Hakadosh Baruch Hu
only with the help of hashem

I think now would be a very good time for IDF to test their Jericho2 & Jericho3 S2S ballistic missiles (without atomic but conventional explosive warheads of course) and save IAF on a sortie …if their accuracy & payload indeed works. How else can you really know? V’im lo achsav?
Trump has aspirations for his Gold space dome, Israel has the Daniel Gold dome.
