JERUSALEM — Joy and unity filled the air on Motzei Shabbos as thousands gathered in Jerusalem for the United Hatzalah Sukkos Concert, a night that blended music, faith, and gratitude — and turned into a heartfelt celebration of the hostage release agreement reached just days earlier.

The highlight of the evening came when legendary Jewish singer Avraham Fried took the stage, joining U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee, former Ambassador David Friedman, and United Hatzalah President Eli Beer in an impromptu dance that brought the crowd to its feet.

With the atmosphere electric and spirits high, the four joined hands, dancing together in joy and relief after weeks of tension and prayer for the hostages’ safe return. The scene captured the essence of Sukkos — unity, gratitude, and faith — set to the rhythm of Fried’s signature uplifting songs.

Earlier in the evening, Friedman and Huckabee, both accomplished guitarists, had taken the stage with their instruments, performing for an enthusiastic audience packed into a large sukkah. Their friendship and shared love of Israel shone through, as they strummed and sang alongside Israeli musicians and United Hatzalah volunteers.

“It was pure simcha,” one attendee said. “Seeing leaders, volunteers, and heroes of Israel dancing together — it was a moment none of us will forget.”

The concert honored United Hatzalah’s 7,000 volunteer medics, who continue to respond to emergencies across the country, saving lives regardless of religion or background. For Eli Beer, whose organization has become a symbol of unity and compassion in Israel, the night was both a celebration and a prayer of thanks.

“Tonight was about hope — the hope that never left our hearts,” Beer said. “To dance together, as one nation, after such darkness — that’s the miracle of Sukkos and of Am Yisrael.”

The evening closed with a standing ovation, as the crowd sang and danced under the Jerusalem sky — a powerful expression of faith, resilience, and joy at a moment when miracles truly felt within reach.
