GAZA STRIP — Israeli troops received two caskets containing the bodies of Israeli hostages from the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, the military said.

The caskets were handed over by Hamas to Red Cross representatives in central Gaza earlier in the day, according to Israeli officials.
The Israel Defense Forces said the remains will undergo inspection before being draped in Israeli flags for a brief military ceremony led by a rabbi. The bodies will then be transferred to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv for identification.
No further details about the identities of the deceased were immediately released.
