On X, Ayotte wrote, “We have a message for NYC businesses looking to flee Mayor Mamdani’s higher taxes: Come to New Hampshire! We’ll help your business make the switch, and you’ll keep more of your hard-earned money.”

According to Adam Sexton of WMUR, Ayotte is paying for a billboard truck to tour Manhattan, promoting the Granite State as a “safe, prosperous, free” alternative, evoking nostalgia for “what New York used to be.”

The campaign comes as Mamdani prepares to take office, with some business owners already expressing concern over potential policy and tax changes under the incoming administration.

She’s smart. We all knew he’d win, so she prepared in advanced her campaign for a day-after launch.

NYC could use a degrowth period. Everyone can leave, the rats will think the city’s over and book flights to Chicago, then we rush back quietly after the next mayoral election cycle.
