Police say the incident is being investigated by the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force. Local officials and community leaders condemned the act, calling it a vile expression of antisemitism.

“Hate has no place in this city and should be condemned by everyone,” one statement read, thanking the NYPD for its swift response.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
