Most of those killed were Hezbollah members, with others belonging to allied groups including Hamas, the IDF said.

Marking the one-year anniversary of the ceasefire agreement, the military said it has conducted hundreds of airstrikes and more than 1,200 ground raids and smaller operations in southern Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its military capabilities.
The operations have centered around five “strategic” Israeli positions established just north of the border, where troops have demolished terrorist infrastructure, destroyed rocket-launch sites, seized weapons caches, and disrupted Hezbollah intelligence-gathering efforts, according to the IDF.
The military stressed that all actions were carried out in response to clear violations of the ceasefire terms by Hezbollah and its allies. The 2024 ceasefire brought an end to 13 months of intense cross-border fighting that began after Hezbollah launched attacks on northern Israel in support of Hamas following the October 7, 2023 terror onslaught.
