Prosecutors said Salem Seleiman, 30, took part in the assault on Joseph Borgen, who was beaten by a group while wearing a yarmulke near Times Square during demonstrations in May 2021. Video showed Borgen being punched, pepper-sprayed and struck with a crutch.
Seleiman pleaded guilty in September to assault as a hate crime. His sentencing concludes the cases against all six men involved in the attack, whose penalties ranged from probation to multi-year prison terms.
