BOMDI BEACH – Dan Elkayam, an IT systems administrator originally from France, was killed in a terrorist attack in Australia on Sunday, according to community sources.

Elkayam, in his late 20s, had moved to Australia about a year ago. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released additional details as the investigation continues.
The young Frenchman reportedly tried to intervene between one of the shooters and a 12-year-old girl who later died from her injuries at a hospital.
