The strikes come amid ongoing tensions following a ceasefire agreement, as Israel accuses Hezbollah of attempting to rebuild its military infrastructure in the region.
In the morning, the IDF said it struck and eliminated a Hezbollah member in the village of Yater who was involved in efforts to restore the Iranian-backed terror group’s infrastructure.
Within an hour, a second strike near Bint Jbeil killed another operative, whom the military described as Hezbollah’s local representative in the village. According to the IDF, the operative was responsible for coordinating between the terror group and residents on economic and military matters.
In the afternoon, a third strike targeted another Hezbollah operative near the town of Jouaiya. “The results of the strike are under review,” the IDF said in a statement.
Lebanese media reports indicated strikes on vehicles in the areas of Yater, Safad al-Battikh near Bint Jbeil, and Jouaiya, with at least two fatalities reported.
